Event name: Distribution of Seeds and Other inputs for Pigeon pea crop under CFLD Pulses 2024.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra Pokharni Nanded-I organized Cluster Frontline Demonstration (CFLD) Pulses programme at adopted village Jawalgaon, Wadgaon Tq.Himayatnagar, Village Kiki, Bhayegaon Tq.Nanded. Seeds and other inputs of BDN-716 the variety of Pigeon pea were distributed to 50 farmers at Jawalgaon Taluka Himayatnagar under CFLD Pulses 2024. Hon'ble Madhavrao Jalgaonkar MLA of Hadgaon Himayatnagar Constituency was present on this occasion. He said through his guidance that the farmers will definitely benefit from the technology provided by the KVK Pokharni Nanded-I and the farmer's production will increase. Mr. Sandeep Jaybhaye Scientist (Agronomy) gave detailed guidance to the farmers about varieties of Pigeon pea as well as proper planting, fertilizer management, water management, planting distance and Mr.Manik Kalyankar Scientist (Plant Protection) gave detailed guidance on the blight disease in Pigeon pea and its remedial plan and how to control fungus in the soil. At this time, majority of the farmers were present.

Kharif Mela 2024 was organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Pokharni Nanded. On this occasion, 250 farmers from 15 villages were selected for under Project of Cluster Frontline demonstrations (CFLD) oilseed and pulse crop demonstration under Krishi Vigyan Kendra Pokharni Nanded-I Jurisdiction. Prof. Sandeep Jaibhaye, Scientist (Agronomy) gave detailed guidance on new varieties of Soybean and Pigeon pea crops as well as their planting management, fertilizer planning, Water management. Prof. Manik Kalyankar Scientist (Plant Protection) gave in-depth information on how to Seed processing, what drugs to use, biological fungicides and how to use them and crop diseases and pests and their control. On this occasion Dr.S.D. More Director of Krishi Vigyan Kendra appealed to the farmers to take advantage of this crop prospector by planting it properly and take the help of Krishi Vigyan Kendra to solve their various problems and make agriculture flourish. On this occasion, Seeds of Soybean variety MAUS-612 and Seeds of Pigeon pea variety BDN-716 and other inputs were distributed to the selected farmers for crop demonstration.
